Someone to talk to in difficult times
Sometimes life gets difficult, for all of us. Feelings of low mood, anxiety, loss of direction, and even hopelessness are a normal part of life but learning to manage them and work through them is a challenge. Having someone to talk to, in a confidential and non-judgemental space, can make a world of difference. I offer that space for my clients and am committed to being alongside you during the hardest times.

About me and my practice
I have experience working with clients in many areas including grief and loss, relationship problems, stress, anxiety, and changing unwanted habits.
I work mostly online, with a limited number of face-to-face sessions available and also offer 'walk and talk' therapy.
My approach is primarily person-centred, which means that the sessions are about YOU - I have no agenda or pre-judgement, my role is to be present and to hear what is going on for you. We will always work at your pace and you won't be made to share anything that doesn't feel comfortable.
I trained in an integrative way and I keep up to date with CPD (continuous professional development) in specific areas so although I consider myself a person-centred therapist, I can adapt to your needs and will sometimes bring in tools from other modes of working eg CBT, psychoanalysis, and hypnotherapy.
Experience
I have nine years' experience both in private practice and working for organisations, offering person-centred counselling and hypnotherapy.
Prior to retraining as a therapist, I worked in sales management for 17 years, which gave me lots of experience in listening, coaching, and learning about different kinds of people. I decided I wanted to help people who were going through tough times for whatever reason and this led me to begin my counselling journey in 2013.
Since then I have worked as a tutor, teaching first year trainee therapists, and have also developed my practice as a creative writer and writing for wellbeing practitioner, running regular workshops.
For five years I was the Head of Counselling for Professional Help and GriefChat, where I acquired more specialised knowledge and skills particularly in the field of bereavement care.

I currently offer this call free of charge (max 30 minutes), although availability may be limited at busy times.
Equally if you would find it easier to exchange a couple of emails before we meet, I am happy to accommodate this too. I endeavour to reply to all enquiries within 24 hours.
